In a year filled with extreme highs and lows, who knew that stumbling upon a job opportunity on Indeed would’ve changed my life for the better and when I needed it most? From working with ex-NBA basketball players to independent authors, being a project manager at AAMBC has been a great experience. Throughout my time at this company, I’ve been able to amass a number of skills that I know will be beneficial wherever my career takes me. I had the chance to be pushed out of my comfort zone when asked to be the 2020 Black Writer’s Weekend’s (BWW) talent manager. My favorite project thus far, I connected with celebrities and a variety of individuals that I never thought to be possible. I was able to make a difference and made sure that the event ran as smoothly as possible.
Going forward, AAMBC will always have a special place in my heart, and I will always be thankful for the company that gave me a chance to be myself, to grow in my role continuously, and cheered me on to be the best version of myself.
